So here's the latest :
- About a week ago I introduced myself to a family that lives across the street from me. I will call them the P Family. I went over there because they have a 1.5 year old little boy. And I thought that they may or may not need a sitter/nanny. Well I went over there and it just so happens that they were looking for someone!!! I babysat the little boy, Nick Tuesday. It was great. He is very cute. He's big for his age. His mom told me that he weighed 35 pounds, mind you he is 18 months. I called him "Little Man, Little Guy" All evening. He was super easy going and was ready to go to bed by 7:15. Another thing... Nick goes to bed great, he was asleep within minutes. Im going back next Thursday.
- It turns out the P Family needs someone to "nanny." They are looking for someone everyday of the week for 3-4 hours in the afternoon. That will be perfect starting in January.
- Im starting the social work program next semester! I will start in Jan. 2009, and be finished by June 2010. I will post more about the program later. But it doesn't sound too bad. And the best part is that my classes will be in the evening, so I will be able to nanny and make a little extra cash.
- About 2 weeks ago I went around to a few assisted living places. I went filled out an application and gave them my resume. Well today I had a message asking my to call and set up an interview. So I will be calling tomorrow. I figured I should go, do the interview, see what they are looking for and maybe work there a few days here and there.
- Classes are going well. So far I have gotten 4.0 and 3.5 on the 4 tests I have taken. I've written 4 papers and have done well on those too. They are keeping my pretty busy. I've got 2 tests this week, and next week will be my catch up week.
- I've met a few people. Not really "friends" yet more of acquaintances, but its something. A long time family friend Scott lives about 2 miles away and we've hung out a few times. He is like a brother to me. He's helped me get around Rochester and find somethings. So I know someone my age! ha!
Sorry for the LONG post.
