Life's Moments

24 hours in a day, is just not enough time to get everything done that needs my attention!

It seems like once I get things going and really start to get the things I need to done, I run out of time!! AHHHhh! So today, I had Anatomy lecture till 12:30, I stayed late to hang out with Bobby, I really haven't seen him in the last few days. So we sat around good ol' JCC for 20 minutes just talking about our day. Then I went to the mall and did some birthday shopping for my sister Tarra who's birthday is next week. I came home, played with the puppy, and started to work on my budget stuff. Well after that, I started getting school work done. And before I knew it, I had to leave to get the Phelps house on time. So once I was there, the kids and I played some air hockey, pretend house, Hungry Hippos and I looked at the clock and it was almost 6:30!! I hadn't even started anything for dinner!! So we made something quick, ( Sausage links, tater tots and a veggie) and the kids got showers with Popsicles for desert. Hahaha!
So now I feel like I still have things I want to get done...and I just don't have enough time. I should go to bed soon, otherwise I am going to drag tomorrow.
In my Anatomy lab tomorrow we start to dissect cats...its okay....I just cannot stand the SMELL!
After that, Bobby and I are going to spend some quality time together. Then I'm going into work at 3. So my day is pretty much set. As is Friday....I'm working! YAY! I'm really happy about that. I love my job. I like to go to work. Plus, I need to make up for all those hours I was put on-call.

Can you believe that tomorrow is March 1st?!?!?! I can't!!!
I swear, as I'm getting older, time goes by a lot quicker...

Oh where to start....
Last night I work evening shift. Let me just say, it was a night from hell!
Six surgeries came to the floor on our shift, and an admission from the ER. We all were running around like our heads were chopped off! No one ate any dinner, we all got out late, were all just waaaaaay too busy! I got home around 12:30, and my bed felt heavenly! It felt soo good when my head hit the pillow.
Today I had my pharmacology class from 9-12. It went good. It actually went by pretty quick! Then Bobby came over and we had lunch, and kinda just hung out.
This afternoon, I am going to do my nutrition quiz,walk the dogs,and try to fit in a nap! I really need one! I had the hardest time getting up this morning...I was exhausted from last night !

OH! GOOD NEWS!!

I got an 80/100 on my Anatomy test. Which I am happy with. I will take anything 80 or better! ( Wouldn't you?!?!?!) AND I got a 45/50 on my Anatomy Bone Practical. I am ecstatic!!!! I thought that I had done worse then that like a 40/50, so when I saw that 45, I was bouncing off the walls!!!

The weekend flew by! I was pretty busy!!!
THURSDAY I had my lab practical on the skeletal system. I think that it went pretty well. I missed a couple but that's alright. I am thinking I go somewhere in the high 80's. So I'm happy with that! Then for the rest of the day, Bobby and I hung out and relaxed. Thursday's is the day that he and I normally just spend time together and relax, I love my Thursday's with Bobby!
FRIDAY I work from 7am till 5pm, it was a looong 10 hour work day! And it felt like a day from hell. I started with 17 patients and ended with 9. I ran my tail off....afterwards I came home and was soooo unbelievably tired. I think I went to bed around 8 ...I was pooped.
SATURDAY I went to work again but only worked 8 hours. It was a MUCH nicer day then Friday. Working the weekend, normally goes pretty smoothly. All the patient therapies are at bedside and they don't leave the unit. Plus there isn't any surgeries, except for the occasional hip fracture or fall...and we didn't have any of those this weekend! Wooohooo! After work, I went to Bobby's and we got Chinese food for dinner and rented movies. We started to watch the Guardian with Kevin Cosner, its a super fantastic movie! I recommend it!!!
SUNDAY I was on-call and studied BIG TIME for my Anatomy test Monday...that took up the most of my day.
And MONDAY I had my Test, which I feel like I did really well on it...I'm learning a lot in this class. And my instructor is wonderful! She gives such good examples and a really good lecture that I love going! Crazy huh? For the rest of my day, I'm going to take a pharm. quiz, call Tarra, and hopefully take a nap! ( I didn't sleep well last night~) Then I'm going into work at 3 and work till 11:30.

Here's the problem....

Cooper is a very loving dog. When someone comes home or starts to pet him, get get really excited and he pees a little bit. Well, sometimes its a little bit and sometimes its a lot...Now Cooper is a small dog and has a small bladder...and I have started to pick his water up at night around 7:30, 8ish...And I have punished him for peeing out of no where. BUT I really don't think that he can help it. So when I punish him, I feel bad because I don't think he's doing it on purpose.

Any ideas or advice as to what I should be doing??? I would really really appreciate any help given!

Today's temperature, was somewhere around 40 degrees. And I am smelling spring, that's for sure! I love spring and summer. Just because that means I can be outside! I get so sick of having to be house bound because of the cold weather! I want to be outdoors !!!! ....Granted, I like to be a couch potato, take naps, and go to class... But I can only do that for so long! SO, spring is more then welcome to come A.S.A.P. I cannot wait to see the snow go away!!! But I do hate the mushy, slushy, wet, muddy snow. Although snow has to turn to that to go away right?!?! And I'll take that any day, if it means that spring is coming.
Earlier today my dad mentioned about Day Light Saving Time...All that I can say to that is Bring it on!!! Wooohoo! I love it when its not dark outside till 10:30 at night! I feel like I get so much more out of my day! I noticed today that it didn't really start to get dark until around 6....which is another lovely sign that spring is around the corner...

Anyway, nothing too much happened with my day...I went to my pharmacology class and then Bobby and I had lunch together. Then, since we both have been sick, we decided that we needed to take a nap! And then I watched some old episodes of Grey's Anatomy...(My favorite show) and studied! Yippee! That's another thing about the summertime, I don't take any summer classes!

OOOoo here's some news....
A women I work with Jeanette, she is going to be gone from work for 8-12 weeks for surgery. And she works full time. Well she asked me if I wanted to pick up any of her days...HECK YES I DO! So I will be a full time employee at Chelsea Community Hospital starting the beginning of May. Which will work out perfectly because classes end on May 7th. I have a 16 hour position, but I cannot wait to work full time...it will make up for all the days that I have been put on-call or canceled this winter!

Knowing that I'm going to work full-time once classes get out...I started to put the idea into Bobby's head about taking a little trip to Florida...because now I will really need to know what days I need to take off. But before any planning can take place, Bobby has to find out about his summer employment.
I would also like to take a little trip to Iowa to visit my sister again...They are all coming the first week of march so I want to go maybe in the end of July sometime. I'm not sure. Everything is sorta up in the air right now...

I caught the bug known as a cold...so did Bobby. We both are sick! And it isn't fun! Sore throat, sinus pain, stuffy nose and the feeling like all I I wanna do is sleep.
I went to work last night, and thankfully I got to leave early! I was pretty happy about that, just because I really didn't feel good, and I don't like to call in. So I went and got through the night. It was a long night. So when the charge nurse told me to go home, I didn't really question her.

As for today, I slept till 11, watched TV, showered, and have been at Bobby's since this afternoon. Bobby and I took a nap till 5. Then we had dinner with his parents and we're getting ready to tackle some homework. We both are not in the mood to do anything what so ever... here's a list of what I need to get done :

• Re-write A&P notes. ( Test next Monday)
• Study Bones (lab Practical Thursday)
• Study Pharmacology (Test Tuesday)
• Start my diet analysis for Nutrition class (Due March 9)
• Take a pharm and nutrition quiz (Due by Tuesday)

So I have a few things that I really do need to get done, I just don't want to right now! :) But I will at least get something started.

Today is such a snowy day...I just want to stay in the house, curled up in a blanket and relax. Is that going to happen.... HECK NO!!!
I woke up around 8:30, ate some breakfast and decided that I better go to the Tire place in Brooklyn and get this mess fixed....so I get there, and had a new tire put on and all of my tires rotated...so that burned an hour or so of my Saturday morning. But I am very glad they were open and that I could get it fixed! Then I got home, and played with the dogs, and I have just been hanging out....
I have to go to work at 3 this afternoon...I picked up a few afternoon shifts because we are now short staffed...
So I haven't showered today and I am thinking it might be a good thing to do before I go to work...don'tcha think????
But before I go in, I need to stop at Meijer for a couple of things...I guess that means I better get a move on or else I'm not gonna have time....

My day yesterday was busy.... I worked a 12 hour shift and my day at work was a tough one. Here's a glimpse of my day....
I got to work at 7am, and right off the bat things went sour. During the night one patient got really confused and started to get agitated, he even tore off a white dry erase board from the wall! So we dealt with the craziness from that...and we had 5 patients leave to go home, which is great! They all just left at the same time, so I would walk one patient out and another was ready to go! It was a needy group, and so the 12 hours of work felt like 24... After my 12 hours of working, I drove over to Bobby's. He's been sick, So I wanted to go and see how he was doing. I got there and he was taking a shower and every couple minutes I could hear him hacking something up! Poor guy....
So we watched some TV and cuddled.
Then I left for home...and it was a long drive home...here's why....
I started driving down M 50 to get to US 127, and I heard a thumping noise...and I'm just about to the ramp to get on 127 and I still hear it...and it get louder as I go faster...
At first I was thinking maybe something is stuck under my car, like roadkill or something...well I get onto 127 and the idea clicks, maybe its a tire...so I pull over...but I'm scared to get out of my car... I dont really know why, I just am...It was almost 11 at night, so what do I do???? I called my sick boyfriend to come and rescue me....
So I call the Feister's house, and Lisa answers, and right away she knew something was wrong...and so she gives the phone to Bobby, and he says that he is on his way. Well 15 minutes later Bobby and Rocky show up, and yes, I have a flat tire...BUT its not like a little flat, my tire was blown...keep in mind this was my FIRST FLAT TIRE... so I had noooo idea what to do. The guys show up all in their tire changing attire and fix it in not time...I was soooo thankful that Bobby and Rocky came to my rescue!!
On my way home after the tire change I was very careful......it made the drive home a long one!

Sooo my cell phone starts to ring at 6:30 this morning...and I roll over in bed to see who would be calling me...Its Bobby!!! Calling to tell me two things....

1. Happy Valentines Day
2. School has been canceled for today

At first I thought that he was joking about school being canceled. But as I thought about it, I knew he wouldn't be because he is a serious school goer...he may not like the idea, but he is there no matter what....even when Leslie had Reyna his plans were to go to his classes, but I called him from the hospital and talked him out of it. He showed up in 20 minutes... :)

So I'm sitting in bed thinking....woooohooo!! No School plus its Valentine's Day!

So I hope that everyone has a great Valentine's Day....

I'm on my way over to Bobby's right now and he told me to bring warm clothes. That can mean only ONE thing....we're gonna play in the snow!!!!

I'll Let you know how the rest of my day goes...

To Grey's Anatomy....I love that show! I got hooked in the middle of the 2nd season, thanks to Leslie for making Bobby tape it for her...and we just started watching it! I now own season 1 AND 2....I just want to watch one episode right after another.
Call me crazy but everyone has their addictions...and mine seems to be Grey's. I just finished watching the 6th episode of the 2Nd season and I cried...all because Derek didn't choose Meridith and because of man and woman were stuck together on a pole.....I'm rambling, I know. All about at TV show but I just cannot help it!
As for my to do list...I did get some of the things done, like going to Target, getting laundry done, washing cooper's bed, a little bit of studying, I talked to Tarra and I mailed the Valentine's Day box to my nieces...the stangl girls'. Which I have been putting off for a week and a half because I didn't want to go buy the stupid packaging tape...HAHA. I couldn't justify going to Meijer just for that, and then when I DID go to Meijer, I forgot!
So I feel like I got something done today, thank God! Otherwise...I would have no clue where my day went...I took a nap, ran some errands, studied some, satisfied my addiction....
I'm good for the day!

I woke up today thinking of things that I wanted to get done today, and my list seems to be growing.

Here's what I need to TRY to do today :

• Walk Cooper
• Go to Target
• Go to the Post Office to mail the Stangl's their box
• Get Module 6 done for my nutrition class
• Re-write my A & P notes
• Study
• Call Tarra
• Call Lonni
• Change the sheets on my bed.
• Wash Cooper's bedding
• Finish all my laundry in general

Thats my to do list so far, Im sure that it will continue to grow as the day continues...

Okay, so picture this ....


I'm on my way to school and it's snowing and there is snow and all that crap on the roads, so I'm maybe going 45 down a back road to the school, and this guy is behind me...
The roads are pretty slushy and the road's curvy, and I left early so I could take my time.
Well, remember that guy who's behind me....yah, riding my butt and decided to pass me in the middle of a curve.
HELLO!!?!?!?!?!?
I'm yelling in my car like he is going to hear me...
Then I notice this car that's just starting to come around the curve, coming towards me and this stupid guy. So, he gets into the right lane and almost hits me! I slam on my brake trying hard not to slide all around the road and hit something or someone. I tell you what people are idiots...
And another thing, people really need to learn how to park. After my little incident on the road, I get to the school and people are parking where ever the hell they want to! Grrr. Sorry about the ranting but, the day just started off on a bad start...

Tonight has been great! It has been a restful, peaceful evening. Bobby came over and I made dinner. We had Angel Hair pasta and pork loins with green beans...it was simple and good. Then, Bobby studied for his Chemistry test and I cleaned up, read a little bit and gave Cooper a bath. I like to give him a bath about once a month. He likes to sleep on the end of my bed, and I like him to smell goooood! Now, he is nice and fluffy! My mom and I have been teaching Cooper some tricks...he's got the basics down : sit, down, come, heel.....I took him to an obedience class in the fall and we learned those ones. And now we're getting tricky with the tricks! He's got shake down and we just taught him that when we say "bang" to play dead meaning, to lay on his back with his front paws (hands) up. And this week he has mastered it!

Cooper is Pooped from getting a bath!!!

WOW, has it feels like forever since I have posted! I have been busy! Here's what my week has been like...
Monday I had my Anatomy test, and I ended up getting an 85% on it. I was happy. BUT I'm going for a 90% for the next one. I didn't mind the 85% cause it was the first test and I wasn't sure how my instructor worked the test and all of that. Then the rest of the day I just hung out and didn't do a whole lot, nothing too exciting that I can remember anyway.
Tuesday was Lisa's Birthday!!!!! So after class I went to the Feister's house and hung out there, waiting for the Birthday Girl to come home. Bobby and I got her flowers and I think she really liked them! Later that night about an hour before we we going to meet Leslie at the Olive Garden, Lisa's face started to get swollen....soo we were going to go another night. But Lisa being the trooper that she is and a combination of really looking forward to the Olive Garden decided that the night would go on and that we had to eat! So off we went, and the dinner was great. The staff even sang their birthday song to Lisa along with bringing her a mini cake!
Wednesday I went to the Phelps and babysat and that was about it for my day...
Thursday was a good day, first I had class and then had lunch with Bobby and then we took a nap, we were both beat! Later on Leslie came by with Reyna and we hung out with them for a bit. After dinner, Bobby went and played basketball with the guys and Lisa and I watched Reyna while her mommy went to Meijer. That baby can eat, let me tell ya!!! Leslie just fed her before she left, and not 20 minutes later, she was asking or screaming for more!!
Jumping forward to Saturday...it was my Dad's birthday! So after I got out of work and got home, he opened his gifts and we had a steak dinner. Then Bobby and I went ice skating! It was a really fun time. . . .I learned that Ice skating is tough! BUT I didn't fall once!! I was proud of myself and Bobby told me that I did a great job! He isn't too bad himself ;) When I took a break he would fly around the rink and do 8 laps in the time it would have taken me to do 1 ! HAHA
As for today (Sunday) I haven't felt all that great...so I have been a couch potato...and Bobby is going to come over at minute and probably become a couch potato himself....

What a weekend!!! Friday I worked during the day till 5, then I ran home to get a quick shower and headed back out to my friend Ashley's place. From there we were going to go to dinner and a movie, kinda have a girls night out....WELL we left around 7:15ish and went to Applebee's and waited 20 minutes for a table. By the time we were in the middle of our meal, I looked at the clock and it was 8:50. We were going to see the new movie Catch and Release and it started at 9...so we missed it.... it was kinda funny! So we went and crashed the guys night. Ashley and I found Tom, Bobby and Dan sitting around watching Las Vegas. So we just hung out there for a while and headed home. But it was a fun night, Ashley and I had hysterical dinner!

Saturday I stayed put and studied because I had a big Anatomy test Monday. BUT later on that day, I did make my way over to the Feister's. Bobby and I just hung out and relaxed. It was very nice to just sit around with Bobby and lounge around with him.

On SUPERBOWL SUNDAY I was an early riser. I got up at 7:30, went to church, worked on school stuff, went to Meijer, and then arrived at Bobby's. Then I got to help Lisa ( Bobby's Mom) make some delicious enchilada's. They were amazing! Its one of those meals where you eat waaaay to much, very easily. Then of course, we watched the big game. It was a fun night!

As for today, I had my big Test in Anatomy....It went very well I think. I am ready to see the results. I knew a lot of the answers, so as Bobby said " All that studying paid off huh?" And I think it did, but only time will tell. Later today I think I'm gonna meet Leslie and Reyna at the Feister's and hang out there for a bit and then come home and study some pharmacology. Yeppie!

I have been on the go since 7:30 this morning!!! Run, Run, Run!
First I started out by going to my Anatomy Lab Practical. It went really well!!
This first hour, we were in the practice lab, looking over slides. Then we went and took the test. It took less then 30 minutes. I was surprised!
So I got out around 11 and made my way over to Leslie's. She lives pretty close to the school...I never really realized that! It only took my 20 minutes to get there...even on the back roads!
Once I got there, I was in Reyna Baby Heaven! That little Rey is sooo sweet. I watched Reyna, while Leslie took a nap.
So Rey and I hung out...I got to feed her, and change her and she spit up on an outfit so I got to dress her. It was a really nice time. Relaxing! I think that I'm gonna be helping Les out a couple days a week in the afternoon. I think that will be fun! Us girls, hanging out.
Afterwards, I went to Bobby's and saw him and Lisa for a bit. We all took naps!! Haha !
As for the rest of my night, I'm gonna study cause I have 2 big tests Monday and Tuesday. And of course I am gonna watch Grey's. Tonight I am flying solo cause Bobby went with Jade to play basketball...which is great. So I decided that I'm gonna have a restful night at home.
