My thought for Thursday is about eyebrows...

I HATE plucking my eyebrows! HATE IT!

I just plucked mine tonight, they REALLY needed it.

For Christmas, Lisa got my a really nice vanity mirror that has a light. Which really helps. . . . you can see every single little hair.

Every once in a while when I am getting my haircut, I will have Stacie ( my hair dresser) wax my eyebrows to clean them up a bit ...But otherwise I pluck them. I try to keep up with it so its not as bad but either I forget until I am in the car going somewhere, or I try to just make myself do it!

Do you pluck or wax? Do you stay on top of it everyday or just once a week? haha... that sounds strang... I guess I am just curious!

Here's the scoop:

I have been thinking a lot about trying to find a part-time nanny position.

Those of you who know me (in real like or in blog world) know I am going into the medical/nursing field.... BUT I absolutely LOVE kids. I used to babysit for a few families in my area but the kids are old enough now that they don't need someone to 'watch' them. And I really miss it!!!!

What I've been thinking is starting this spring I would like to find a part-time nanny job...any takers?

It doesn't matter which days or what the hours are, what I really had in mind was a few days a week so I could work at the hospital a couple days during the week. Pretty much whatever works for you!

So if you might be interested or know someone else that may be interested, let me know! I am up for anything!

Today was great!

My mom and I set off around 10Am for Novi. We went to 12 Oaks Mall and did some major shopping. We hit Macy's, Forever 21, Coldwater Creek, Sears and a few others! It was a lot of fun. We had lunch, and roamed around the mall for all the good deals. * My mom can spot the good deals...she sees red and she is there. Its so funny! And the stuff that she finds, is really great stuff. Its crazy!

So what did I get??

A few tops for a couple different places. A Nine West handbag for this spring/summer, and new wallet, (to go with the new handbag !! ), and some WONDERFUL lip gloss! My mom got a few nice things as well...

After we left 12 Oaks, we went to Ann Arbor and saw a movie. At a mall in AA ( Ann Arbor) there is a movie theater that all the movies are $1.00. A BUCK, isn't that awesome?!?!
We saw The Water Horse. It was a such a cute flick! I was happy that we went!
So if you get a chance and you're in the mood for a easy to watch PG movie....go for it!

Needless to say is was great to spend the ENTIRE day with my mom. She is a great lady and it was nice to just spend the day with her! Thanks Mom, I had lots of fun with you!

Since I have been home, I first went through everything I bought, of course! And I have been studying and working on things for school. Yay! ( Can you sense the sarcasm??)

Oooh and I had a glass, or two of some really good wine! :)

Good news! I am feeling better! Thanks to everyone that sent me some get well wishes! I think they helped! :)

I went to work today and it was a very long, LONG day. The hospital was full. I mean there was not an empty bed on any of our units. It was a busy 8 hours. I was asked to stay over...but I couldn't because I had class. I got home, and I was pooped. And I soon found out that I didn't have to go to class.... its a medical records class from 6-9. Well tonights class was for anyone that needed help with using codes for insurance purposes. I wont bore you. But it was a nice surprise not to have to go. SO instead of going to class, I studied for my test tomororw. I would say I used my time wisely.

Tomorrow, I have class all day long! Uhh. So I am going to get some more rest, I need it after a long day at work!

Lets see, lots to update....

Sorry its been so long since my last post. Its been pretty busy and then to top it off I have been sick since Sunday.

A week ago I house sat for Rocky and Lisa. Here is who I was hanging out with all week long...

Since Bobby and I couldn't celebrate Valentine's day on the actual day because he has evening classes, we celebrated on Friday...

I had a special surprise....

A RED WINGS GAME!

We went to dinner and Longhorn Steakhouse and then went to see the Wings. The lost... But it was still lots of fun being at the ice arena and being in the hockey atmosphere. I think Bobby was pretty excited to go to a hockey game that wasn't his own. We had a really fun night!

( We are total cheesers!!!)

Saturday I relaxed in the afternoon and then went over to Bobby's, where we did some more relaxing. We ended up renting a movie, making HOMEMADE popcorn and just laying around for the evening! It was great!

On Sunday I woke up feeling not so hot. My throat was scratchy and my nose was running, nonstop. I thought it was just allergies, but I think its a cold. As the day went on, I started to feel worse. That night we celebrated Lisa's Birthday. Jade, Leslie, Reyna, Rocky, Lisa and Bobby and I went to the Olive Garden, Lisa's favorite. I would have taken pictures normally but I just didn't think about it probably because I wasn't feeling myself.

So its Tuesday night and Im still not feeling well. I have been trying to drink TONS of water, I have been taking vitimin C and everything.... I just can't seem to kick this cold.

Well I need to try to study and then I am going to hit the hay early again tonight.

I swear the weekends always just fly by! I cannot wait for Friday to come and then before I know it, its Sunday night and Monday is only a few hours away!

This weekend:

• Friday I watched Reyna in the afternoon and then I had dinner with my mom and dad to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had a wonderful dinner and it was nice to see my parents. I have been house sitting so I haven't really seen them much this week. ( I guess its a little taste of what living on my own would be like.)
• Saturday my dad, Bobby and I went to Rochester Hills to visit my Aunt Doris and to go to Terri's 50th birthday party. It was a a winery and we got to taste 12 different wines and I got to see some family, which was very nice.
• Sunday the weather has been FREEZING!!! Its been around 0* all day. The windchill is in the negative double digits......BRRRRRRRR! Bobby and I took a drive over to see Leslie and Jade and then we just hung out the rest of the day...Bobby had a ton of laundry!!

The week ahead:

• Monday I am watching Reyna in the afternoon and then I have class.
• Tuesday and Wednesday I am working.
• Thursday I have class ALL day!
• Friday I have class then Bobby and I are going to go out for Valentine's Day! :)

House sitting!! Ha! I have done a lot of this lately!

Rocky and Lisa went to Florida for the week, and ofcourse someone has to stay with their family pets Champ and Lucy. And yes, it makes sense that I be the one to do it....Leslie and Bobby can't, so here I am. Champ and Lucy are really great pets and they are great to take care of, plus I get to spoil them! haha! I started sitting on Tuesday and I will be here until Wednesday.

My week so far.... lets see....well I worked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, had class, studied, and have taken care of the animals. Its been good.

We got a TON of snow on Wednesday. It took me an hour to drive home from work. The drive is normally 30 minutes mind you. And the college closed because the roads were HORRIBLE! I was reliefed. I didn't want to have to drive 20 miles for a class and then have to drive back in bad weather....I hate, HATE driving when the weather is bad. YUCK!

Tomorrow I have class in the morning, then I am watching Reyna in the afternoon and then I am going back home to celebrate my Dad's birthday. His birthday is actually on Sunday, but my mom has to work Sunday night, so we are going to have his birthday dinner early. I will try to take some pictures and post them tomorrow!

Today I just took it easy. Didn't worry about school. ( I should have, but didn't!) I just relaxed, watched TV, stopped at Rockey and Lisa's and went to the craft stores...BIG MISTAKE!! haha!!

First I want to show you my deal of the day:

Last night I went and saw Bobby. We went out to dinner, made a stop at Meijer and then just hung out. It was great!! He get kinda lonely at WSU on the weekends mainly because everyone goes home ... I was going to go out with a couple of girlfriends, but the plans fell through, so I took a drive to Detroit.

We went to an Italian place, it was soooooooo yummy!! They give you a loaf of bread and then you dip the bread into a mixture of olive oil, dried herbs and roasted garlic...so good! So by the time Bobby and I killed off the bread and our salads, I was full!! haha! Bobby and I decided that we need to just start sharing a meal......we each had leftovers to take home.

While I was there, Bobby and I started to talk about going to Florida!!! We want to go in May after our classes are finished and before my externship starts back up....

so where do I look for plane tickets that don't cost an arm and a leg...?

Give me some advice...please!

Tonight I went with Leslie to meet with a couple other girls to do some scrapbooking. We met Nicole, LeAnn, and Lori at a scrapbooking store in Chelsea.
WOW! It was great! This store had everything you could ever want! I was over whelmed by all of the neat looking items there were so many different types of stickers, papers, embelishments and anything you could imagine!


Something I liked was if you were working on a page, and say you needed something extra for it like an embelishment, you could go look in the store for something, and chances are you find something and then you just add it to your tab.



Leslie and I got there around 4, and stayed until almost midnight. I thought that after a couple hours I would be ready to leave, but really the time went by really, really quick! Before I knew it, it was 7:00... and then it was 10:00!



I didn't spend too much money either. I tried to kinda "watch" it but I got the things I wanted and I only spent $23.00!!! I thought that pretty darn good. I got a lot done too, 7 pages I think... plus I got some good organizing ideas and page ideas from the other girls there. I was really happy I went.



I wanna go again... So ladies let me know when!!

We had a lot of fun, made jokes, laughed and got creative!!!!

Febuary has come with a BANG! We got 4-5 inches over the night. And we are going to be getting more throught out the day, somewhere between 4-6 inches during the day, is what I have been hearing. So today I don't have class, and I was going to watch Reyna for Leslie, but she decided that she wasn't going to go in to work today... so for this morning I have just been relaxing!

Later this afternoon I am meeting Leslie at Target, and then we are going to a scrapbooking store and working on our books. Its called a "Crop." I have never been to one and I am excited to go! Its like an all day thing...I guess it starts at 1pm and goes to midnight. That is some serious scrapbooking!!! haha!

Plus Leslie's friend Nicole, and her cousin Kristin will be there! How great is that! I think it will be lots of fun.... and I think I will get some neat ideas from the other women there. And Leslie told me that the store we are going to is really neat and that it has got TONS of scrapbooking items. So I have a feeling I will be buying a couple things! Which there is nothing wrong with that! I will make sure to let you know how it goes!
