Life's Moments

...for September. Where did the month go? I swear this month flew by. What the heck! Well like it or not, here comes October. Im ready for a change in seasons. Although its pretty warm here. High 70's and sunny. Its been a beautiful weekend!

So I really need to go to bed.

BUT

I thought I would put up one more post for September.

This weekend was CRAZY, hectic, busy! Nothing Too exciting ...

• Friday I work at the hospital. Then hung out with Bobby. It was very nice to see him! I really look forward to my weekends cause that means I will more then likely get to see him. :)
• Saturday I worked at Sylvan till 1, then babysat. Afterwards, Bobby came to my house and we went to this place called The Beach Bar. It is known for their Tomato soup. Its terrific!!! Nothing else like it.
• Then today, I worked at the hospital (again) until noon then babysit for the same family again. Those kids are too cute! I have pictures but I don't feel like loading them and all that tonight, I will to that tomorrow! When I was done babysitting, and I had dinner with Bobby and his parents. Then we hung out and Bobby went back to school.

Wednesday before work, I went over to have lunch with Leslie and Reyna. It was a very nice afternoon. Leslie made lunch, some really good Lemon Chicken. And we ate and just hungout for a bit before I went to work at 3. Reyna is getting big! Its hard to believe that she is 8 months old now. I did take some pictures...can you believe it???

Here's my cute story that I had to tell...

Leslie and Reyna were walking me out to the car. Les and I were talking and then I said,

"Bye Reyna!"

And I swear and Leslie heard it...

Reyna said,

"Buh Bye." While waving!

hahaha!

Now Reyna might not have meant to say it, but it really sounded like she said Buh Bye! Hahah! It made Leslie and I laugh.

Thanks Leslie for a fun afternoon, we'll have to do it again soon!!

I have two classes on Monday. In the morning and then in the evening. Both classes got out WAY early. Now, I am NOT complaining. But I pay good money for those credit hours. Don't ya think I should be in class for them?? haha. That's okay ...I don't mind really.

Just an update on school. Its going well. My classes aren't too bad.

Intro to Imaging is the basics about x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI and Nuclear Med. Its interesting to know all the different things that need to be done, the preps, and so on. I just had a test today actually!

Medical Law and Ethics is just what the name says it is. Its kinda a neat debate class...about ethical issues, and things that happen in doctor offices and hospitals. Whats right and whats wrong. The only thing Im not crazy about is that my teacher goes into these big off the wall stories and gets way off track. That and she jumps all around, we seem to cover a bit of chapter 4, then jump to 7, then skip back to 3...it makes it hard to keep up with her.

Medical Techniques I is stuff I do as an Aide at work so its easy. So far, its been about taking vital signs like Blood pressure, pulse, temp ...so I have found that I get board and start to have wondering thoughts... I do a lot of highlighting to make my notes look pretty.

Computer Keyboarding...its kind of a joke. Its a "Open entry, Open exit" class. Basically a do it on your own, just get the work done. For each lesson, there's a timed typing so far the goal has been to type 14 words per minute/with only 3 errors. I did some typing today and I beat that goal. :) I typed 78 wpm/o errors. So I am hopefully gonna 4.0 that class!! Haha!

Well I had a couple people ask my how my classes were going...so I just thought I would fill everyone in!

I have been so bad a blogging!! I just can't seem to sit down to do it. Between school, studying, working 2 jobs and trying to keep a social life I just haven't had a moemnt to sit down and type out my thoughts.

Thats the other thing... I have found that while I am in my car driving along I have lots of things that *pop* into my head that I can blog about, but once I boot up my computer, and sit down to actually blog, I cannot remember for the life of me what I was going to type. What the heck!
I bet Im not the only person this happens to. Its almost frustrating! I know I had something to talk about! And then *POOF* I sit down at the computer and I cant remember what I had to say!

This upcoming week is going to be a busy one. Which is good and bad.
- Good because if I stay busy and keep my mind off Bobby being gone, the week will go by much quicker.
-Bad because I will get the feeling like I am never home and can't catch my breath.

I have a few tests and lots of studying to do. Work at Sylvan on Tues./Wed. I am going to go spend some time with Leslie on Wednesday before work...then the hospital on Thurs./Fri.

(Oooh, dont forget Grey's Anatomy starts Thursday!!!) ;)

Friday night Bobby will be home so we will probably do something (maybe will friends?)
Saturday I work at Sylvan and then babysit (and Bobby might come along, which will be fun...because those kids run me all around...it will be interesting to see what they do when there's TWO of us!)
And Sunday I work at the hospital and babysit (for the same family AGAIN!)
See??? Busy week.

BY THE WAY...
I have been super bad about not taking my camera with me to take pictures...so this week I am going to try to make sure I keep my camera with me!

So if you're still reading this, I am proud...I kind have just been blabing about whatever came to my mind...its all off the wall blurbs... Sorry!!

Antihistamine!!! AKA Benadryl!

Today Lisa and I went to Caffe Lilla for lunch and it was Very Good! Then we made a stop at Kohls, and Lisa helped me to pick out a couple outfits that I could wear to work. I got a couple cute things. And a pair of shoes. After all that my night has been downhill. I came home and had a stuffy nose and couldn't breathe. So I just kinda hung out, ate dinner and relaxed. Still haven't felt that great. I took a hot shower and took a couple Benadryl Cold/Flu. And I have found my new best friend! I am gonna be going to bed soon. I can hardly keep my eyes open. Benadryl has that effect on me. Knocks me out...Im hoping that when I wake up at 5:30 to go to work I am feeling much better. Everybody Pray!!

Its kinda funny...its 80* outside and I have a cold....ironic!

Has anyone else been fighting a cold?

So on Sunday, my throat felt a little scratchy, no big deal. Monday, I was sneezing like mad and my throat was still scratchy, and then Tuesday the flood gates opened. One minute my nose was runny, the next it was stuffy. I hate that! Plus I was coughing, sneezing, and my throat was scratchy. I hate having a colds! So yesterday I drank LOTS of hot tea and water. And just rested the entire night. Didn't worry about a thing. Today I feel a little better. My nose is still running on and off and my throats a little scratchy but I am feeling better then yesterday.
So today I am going to go get my oil changed. (I dread going to do that. Its not that its a lot of work or anything, I just hate going and sitting there and waiting and all that. ) After that is done with I am going to go over and see Lisa (bobby's mom) and we might go get lunch or something. And sometime today I need to go to Kohls.... my fall wardrobe is limited. : ) So I better replenish it!!

All day long today I have been thinking that today is Monday. I don't know why...

• Im going to see Bobby on Friday and Saturday. Yay! He asked me to come on Friday to help him get somethings situated and to see me of course. And the on Saturday I work, so after work Im gonna head to Detroit and we're gonna have a mini date night!


• I have been working out!! And today I am super sore. So tomorrow the soreness will probably be gone and then when I workout again on Thursday I will be right back to square one. :)


• I am thinking about what I am going to do next fall as far as schooling. I know its a ways away, but I am such a planner. I have a couple University's in mind so far.


• Tomorrow after work, I am going to have dinner with Lisa!


• I need to get some studying done...

So I guess those are the things that are on my mind at the moment....

Sorry I am so bland and that I dont really have anything exciting for you, and that you must be bored and off in La-la land by now!

That is was this weekend has been all about, for the most part.

On Friday, Bobby and I just hung out and rented a movie.

Saturday, I worked but only for 6 hours. Then Lisa, Leslie, Reyna, Bobby and I went to the Jackson Family Fall Festival. There was a lot going on there. Rides, Games, Crafts, food, music and LOTS of people. It was kinda like a mini-fair. Lots of fun. Later on ...we went shopping for a microwave for Bobby and some food. The we just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Today...Bobby and I are going to try to get in a game of tennis and then we'll hang out and have dinner. Afterwards Bobby's going back up to WSU.

I am actually going to post a thought for Thursday!!! Aren't you so proud!! Haha! I cant remember the last time I posted a TFT on a Thursday!! Lol.

So today I would like to know what is your favorite season?

I was driving home from work today and here in Michigan there are trees that are starting to turn pretty fall colors. What the heck!?!? Its only the beginning of September!! That is how today's topic for TFT came to me... my favorite season is fall. I just love everything that happens...leaves change to pretty colors ( some years sooner then others), all the fall festivals, Halloween, the cool crisp weather and all the goodies. The coolness is probably my favorite part. . . I am much more comfortable in the fall. Its not steaming hot and humid, but its not snowing and 30 below. Plus I love going and picking a pumpkin, carving the pumpkin and then eating the seeds! Fall time is when you get all that yummy apple cider, Carmel apples, and donuts. To me, fall time is a great close to summer time and fun beginning to all the other events that come next. Thanksgiving, Christmas, my birthday....and so on.

Tonight's post is just about my day. ..

So here it goes:

My day hasn't been too bad.. . . . I guess. Well I woke up with a screaming headache. I felt like crap. I went to bed with a headache, and it did not go away, it just got worse. So all morning my head just throbbed. But it was only on one side.... It makes me wonder if it was a migraine. I'm not sure . . . It was kind of in the back and only the left side of my head. There were a couple times where I thought my vision got blurry, but I wasnt sure if it really was or not...I dont know. But I didn't get sick or anything, I just didn't really have an appetite and the Excedrin (sp?) I took didn't help. I don't know... anyone have any tips/comments/ideas???

So today my goal was to just make it through the day. I did laundry, changed my sheets, etc. Then I worked at Sylvan...and afterwards Lisa (Bobby's Mom) and I had dinner. We had Chicken, noodles and salad. YUM. By the time I got to the house I was starving, but I hadn't really eaten all day....
So since I have been home, I put on some comfy clothes, cut Coopers hair and just checked my email. Nothing too spectacular. And tomorrow I work at the hospital.

Some good news is that Bobby is going to spend the weekend in town!! YEPPIE!

So I was a little perturbed today. I am taking a computer class and its an open entry, open exit class. More or less as long as you do the work, your fine. Its a typing class for crying out loud. Well I bought a book for it online and paid 40 bucks for the thing...well come to find out, it didn't have the software. So today I went back to the bookstore to get the right thing and they were selling it for 100 dollars! And there weren't any used books! Oh my God! 100 bucks for a stupid book Im gonna use 10 times...!?!?!?!? It killed me to buy the stupid thing! Haha. Yikes!!!
Have books always been this expensive? When you were in school, what's the most you paid for a textbook???

Change is never an easy thing. I have been trying to prepare myself all weekend for Bobby leaving for WSU. Lets just say today was a tough day and I cried on and off all day long.

We had an early dinner with his parents and then we drove separate cars to Detroit. Once we were there, we unloaded our cars (which took 2 trips) and got everything up to his room. After that we walked the campus. We were on a hunt for all of the buildings that he had classes in, and we found them all. Bobby has a little bit of a walk, but not too bad. After our walk, we put things away and got everything situated.
Bobby being gone is going to be a big adjustment. Not just for me but for everyone. But I think that once we all get used to it, things will be okay. I am just thankful that he is only an hour and a half away instead of 8! That would be bad!

I took pictures, but I am going to post them tomorrow.

Mom's biopsy came back negative! Everything was okay. The lump wasn't cancerous.

What a relief!!!!

Sorry I have MIA. This week has been busy and just flew by. I worked at Sylvan Tuesday and Wednesday. Its going well. I think its going to be a good second small part time job. I worked at Chelsea on Thursday, and this weekend I have been helping to get Bobby ready for Wayne State. Yesterday Rocky, Lisa, Bobby and I went his dorm and CLEANED. Lisa and I scrubbed. One thing is for sure, where Bobby will be living is at least clean...for now that is.

After we all cleaned and got Bobby's room ready, we met Bobby's Uncle Dave for dinner. We went to a Mexican Restaurant, and it was sooooooooooooo good!!! YUM!

Today, I am just going to lay low. Bobby and I will probably hang out and just relax before he leaves tomorrow.
