I can't believe its December already!!!!!!!!
I can remember when I was little how slowly the months passed, and how slow the days went by and now I am almost 21, and the days fly by and the months come and go in the blink of an eye.
What changes??
Probably my perspective on the day and the month. When you're a kid, you have no action list of what needs to be done, or places that you need to go in that day. All you care about is what will be for lunch and dinner, and what your day at school will be like and if you can have a friend spend the night.
Being a "grown up" is a lot different then what you think it will be growing up. I remember looking at someone that was older, in their twenties and thinking, "Wow, I can't wait to be just like them!" Well, here I am approaching 21 and I feel like there are cousins, nieces and other little kids that are thinking the same thing I once did. Its kinda weird!
Anyway....
I am very much looking forward to this month! I love December! Something about the holidays and everyone being so nice (most the time) and all the festivities that come during the month.
On Saturday, Bobby and I went to Somerset Collection, in Troy. WOW. That was my first time going to that HUGE mall and I was a bit overwhelmed. For anyone who has not been to this mall, its 3 stories and has just about EVERY store you could ever imagine. ( Hence why I was overwhelmed!) It has a sky walk and tons of escalators. Not knowing where the stores were that I wanted to go to was challenging. I think just because the place is soo big.
And the people.... Lets just say the people that are at this mall are from all walks of life. If anything the experience was just so we could go and people watch. Like Leslie told me....some of the outfits people there wear look strange and odd but they paid a ton of money for that one outfit. I came to the conclusion that they people there were to say it nicely, all about themselves....
Bobby and I played a couple little games while we were there. We realized that people were not moving out of the way at all for us, that we were moving out of the way for anyone that came near to us. So we started to not move to see if the other people there were kind enough to move so they wouldn't bump into us...lets just say that game didn't last long. Another game we played was "Counting all the Northface." There were tons of people with the brand Northface on. It was amazing! ha!
So lets just say, after we left Somerset, we went to another mall that was a little more low key. I did get a few gifts for a couple people. I was pleased to at least get a couple things for Christmas!
